About The Position

The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is responsible for overseeing radiation safety programs within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing safety protocols. This role requires strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of radiation safety practices, making it critical for the safe use of radiation in various operations.

Requirements

• ASNT Level III in RT with 5 years' experience required.
• Solid history in performing as a corporate RSO.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing radiation use.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
• Effective communication skills for training staff and collaborating with various teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other methods of NDT.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Train and certify individuals in radiation safety practices.
• Write and revise NDE procedures as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes related to radiation safety.
• Conduct light field work as required.
