About The Position

Mistras Alaska is seeking Non-Destructive Testing Trainees. The candidate shall have at minimum a 40-hour radiation safety course completed. The NDT Trainee will assist NDT level II and III's. The work schedule will be project based. Daily work shifts may be up to 12 hours or more depending on project needs located primarily in Anchorage Alaska.

Requirements

  • 40-hour Radiation Safety Course.
  • NDT training and OJT for different methods (UT, RT, PT, MT, VT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A is preferred but not required.
  • Current IRRSP or state card is preferred but not required.
  • Current level I or higher Rope Access certification IRATA or willingness to obtain.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.

Nice To Haves
