About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Works independently under general supervision to process and/or interpret castings through the NDI departments using gauges, devices, or software to evaluate indications complying with established written procedures. NDI operator may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Using Computers (entering information, etc.) Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI). Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision. Must be able to maintain expected quality levels. Work requires basic skills in reading, writing and math plus the use of fractions and/or decimals. The ability to perform interpretive defect analysis, follow simple instructions and visual aids. Must be able to perform constant mental concentration and close visual examination of various casting configurations. Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NDI LEVEL II: In addition to Level I Responsibilities. In the method in which certified, Level II ‘s will: Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard. Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and or supervision to trainees and level I operators. Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as used by the employer. When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from approved general procedures. Such work instructions shall require a final approval by a Level III certified in the method. Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology. When specified in the written practice, have a basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • One year of Certified X-ray Level II experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
