AT&F is seeking an NDE UT Level III to build large complex fabrications for submarines and other important projects. The NDT Level III role is crucial for ensuring that Non-Destructive Testing processes and procedures for Ultrasonic Testing (UT) adhere to customer requirements, guaranteeing compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be qualified and certified to SNT-TC-1A in Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Previous Level II Certification to SNT-TC-1A including documented objective evidence of classroom and on the job training experience
  • Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems
  • HS diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Level III Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Visual Examination (VT)

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that Non-Destructive Testing processes and procedures for Ultrasonic Testing (UT) adhere to customer requirements in a manner that guarantees compliance and efficiency
  • Administers and maintains NDT qualification program for Level I, II and III NDT Team Members
  • Maintain qualification records, certifications and proficiency examinations and oversight of required experience hours
  • Capable of providing or directing training, examination and certification of personnel
  • Oversee the work of NDT inspectors and ensures quality assurance and safety procedures are met
  • Records, organizes and evaluates test results and generates NDT and QA inspection reports
  • Capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff
  • Selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection
  • Preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions
  • Approving NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy
  • Responsible for conducting quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract specific requirements
  • Perform other job related tasks as needed
