About The Position

The Coating Inspector is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and ensuring the proper application of protective coatings on surfaces, structures, or equipment to prevent corrosion and maintain structural integrity. This role requires extensive knowledge of coating materials, application methods, inspection techniques, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Industry experience pertaining to quality control over coatings.
• NACE certification I, II, or III is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to ensure that coatings meet specified quality standards.
• Conduct inspections at various stages of coating application, including surface preparation, primer application, intermediate coat, and topcoat.
• Daily Inspection of work site and equipment.
• Ensure client’s coating specification is followed.
• Taking and recording of ambient conditions.
• Observe, document and report coatings condition.
• Ensure job is running in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Proficient in the use of a computer, excel spreadsheets and word documents.
• Have good communication skills to be able to give daily updates to client and Management Team.
