This part-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. As a NDE Tech in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IBN Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include: Under minimal supervision, this position performs advanced troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of specified equipment and/or systems at customer sites. Work is performed according to instructions and established procedures and/or guidelines. Autonomy is expected under most circumstances. May be required to work around radioactive and/or corrosive chemicals and to wear appropriate protective equipment. Expectations for this position are installs, troubleshoots, assembles/disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at customer sites; may include equipment associated with refueling, inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components. To conduct routine and non-routine tasks, operates specialized equipment, takes measurements, extracts and compiles data regarding equipment and process performance; collates data on task and outage performance. Develops calculations, tables, reports and related data; maintains maintenance logs, maintenance procedures and certification documents. Establish problem reports, field schedules, and task close out reports, as needed. May provide input to training materials and may conduct training, as needed. Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance. Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service. Will require unescorted nuclear site access. This position requires up to 50% travel.
