About The Position

As a NDE Level III Technician, you will conduct Steam Generator/Heat Exchanger non-destructive examinations according to written procedures. Once the examinations are complete, you will interpret the results of the examinations following applicable standards and specifications. You will report to the Manager of NDE Programs and be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. When not traveling, this is a mobile position that is required on site 2-3 days per week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Significant experience hours performing non-destructive inspections of nuclear and/or non-nuclear power plants accordingly to satisfy Nuclear industry recognized requirements for NDE Level III certification. We also encourage those who are Level II NDE Personnel who's career path is aimed toward Level III to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and interpret different industry standards, codes, and procedures to support customer and regulatory requirements throughout the nuclear and non-nuclear sectors.
  • Develop new techniques and inspection procedures and review existing techniques to refine processes to support the nuclear and non-nuclear industries.
  • Participate in teams to lead mentoring opportunities for Trainee's, Level I's, and Level II's to strength the NDE personnel in the company; for less experienced personnel willingness to be mentored and develop professionally.
  • Support the preparation for field projects with procedures and examination plans for the NDE scope.
  • Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology.
  • Participate in safety training to acquire the skills to perform work in hazardous environments and operate safety equipment and systems.
  • Operate field service equipment at customer sites, including non-destructive examination (NDE) technology, automated systems and computer networks.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with a high degree of quality, and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines. Document all quality related issues.
  • Promote and exercise team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments. Demonstrate good customer sensitivity.
  • You will travel occasionally; maintenance of "Unescorted Access" status at Nuclear Power Plants, and working with hazardous materials.
  • You will have a focus on the Material Reliability Program (MRP); the ideal candidate with a strong working understanding of MRP documents and requirements or willingness to learn and understand these industry requirements. The incumbent will be our organizations MRP technical expert respective to NDE.
