Austin Industrial is currently seeking a NCCER Journeyman Electrician to join our staff located at La Porte, TX. You will be r esponsible for the safe installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the plant’s electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations. other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as an NCCER-certified Journeyman Electrician with a valid state license, working in industrial maintenance (chemical industry preferred).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and as-built diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety codes and industrial compliance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NCCER Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required
  • Meet physical demands as listed above

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, installations, and repairs affecting the facility’s operations.
  • Conduct field construction and quality assurance checks during plant modifications or expansions, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Update and modify electrical drawings; maintain equipment records and technical documentation.
  • Select and procure equipment and materials needed for new or existing electrical systems.
  • Provide technical guidance, support project implementation, and advise on system capacity and availability.
  • Coordinate electrical work with production and maintenance teams, manage SAP work requests, and communicate project status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
