About The Position

NC3 Subject Matter Expert The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe. As a NC3 mission expert, you’ll bring your extensive experience and mission expertise to work alongside USSTRATCOM thought leaders in survivability and endurability on projects. You’ll use your skills and expertise to analyze and assess survivability and endurability of NC3 System assets and assets that support other global missions. Work with us to conduct on-site assessments of mission-critical assets worldwide and develop comprehensive technical reports to assist in capability enhancements. This job requires travel approximately 25-30% of your time, or 4-5 times during the average fiscal year. Trips typically last one week but occasionally require more than a week. Requirements

10+ years of experience working in NC3 positions, including NC3 plans and policies, operating and managing nuclear operations and execution systems, and performing associated command, control, and communications functions
Experience working on a command staff, either combatant command or Service functional component command, and executing NC3 planning functions
Experience training or operating strategic communications systems that support NC3 mission functions
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, intelligence, or defense and strategic studies

Nice To Haves

Experience training and operating Missile Defense systems
Experience with space systems planning and policy
Knowledge of Missile Defense System architecture, including communications systems necessary for passing critical missile warning or defense information
NC3 system, space asset, missile defense training, and certifications

Responsibilities

Analyze and assess survivability and endurability of NC3 System assets and assets that support other global missions.
Conduct on-site assessments of mission-critical assets worldwide
Develop comprehensive technical reports to assist in capability enhancements.
