About The Position

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026).
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future.
• Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025 - April 17, 2026.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.

Nice To Haves

• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• A background in Journalism, Production, Communications, Digital Media, or Research.
• Strong interest in the media industry.
• Previous internship experience within a corporate setting.
• Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, telephone interviews, book shoots, and log video for Better Get Baquero.
• Assist producers and talent on field shoots and in the studio for New York Live.
• Find stories, call contacts for details, fact check production and talent schedules, and assist during breaking news in News Planning.
• Support the Assignment Desk in the newsroom by providing up-to-date information and verifying facts.
• Contribute to digital products including writing original copy, shooting and editing video, and producing podcasts.
