About The Position

Cydecor is seeking a Navy Mechanical Engineer to provide support to a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) customer. There are several openings spanning junior to senior positions. The role will support the design, development, and evaluation of Unmanned Vehicle (UxV) systems by conducting engineering analyses, addressing technical issues, and contributing to future UxV requirements and acquisition documentation. Candidates should possess strong engineering and acquisition fundamentals, as well as expertise in UxV systems.

Requirements

  • Senior Level: 10+ years of professional experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mid-Level: 4+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Junior Level: 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience related to R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.
  • Security Clearance: Active/interim DOD SECRET.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Level: 15+ years of professional experience and a master's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mid-Level: 7+ years of relevant experience and a master's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Junior Level: 4+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience related to R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction.
  • Develop future UxV requirements and acquisition documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
  • Conduct ship design and construction Contractor and Subcontractor engineering and production analyses, including physical progress, design progress, and material procurement.
  • Review engineering systems' technical data, engineering drawings, technical manuals, ILS data, ILS Checklists, and configuration baseline documentation to determine changes required to update requirements.
