About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Navy Global Command and Control - Maritime (GCCS-M) (Electronic Tech to help support the MARMC program in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided. The role involves performing highly complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. The technician will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions, and will direct complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work. The technician will diagnose and isolate equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures, and make necessary repairs. Additionally, the technician will participate in the development of electronic equipment, repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories, and provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, potentially serving as a team leader.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • AA/AS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of electronic systems.

  • Experience with AN/USQ-187 GCCS-M 4.1.1.
  • Experience with AN/USQ-172 GCCS-M 4.0.
  • Experience with AN/USQ-151 Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT).
  • Experience with AN/USQ-152 TBMCS.
  • Experience with AN/USQ-188 Radiant Mercury.
  • Experience with AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services - CANES.
  • Experience with Passive Link Tap (PLT).

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.

  • Participate in the development of electronic equipment.

  • May serve as a team leader.
