The Navy ADNS/CANES Networks Technician position at Ghostrock, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is a critical role that involves providing technical services to the SWRMC Engineering Department and supporting the fleet with a variety of equipment and components for surface ships. This position is based in San Diego, CA, and requires both on-board and distance-support technical assistance throughout the extended operating cycle of naval vessels. The technician will be responsible for evaluating and inspecting systems and equipment during major assessments such as INSURV, C5RA, and TSRA. The technician will maintain and support several key systems, including the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), the Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS), and the CENTRIXS system, among others. This role demands a deep understanding of the operating software, interfaces, and critical sub-system topology associated with these systems. Additionally, the technician must possess knowledge of LAN and WAN systems, both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and military, as well as electronic equipment design and testing concepts. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of expertise in Command & Control computer systems, tactical data acquisition, and analysis electronics. The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance, with preference given to candidates who already possess this clearance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with specialized training from Navy A and C School for shipboard computer networks. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field may substitute their degree for experience. The role also emphasizes the importance of certifications such as CompTIA Security, CCNA, MCSE, and Linux +, which are desired for this position.
