About the position

The NAVWAR Engineer position at Aegis Aerospace, Inc. involves supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract by providing expertise in navigation warfare (NAVWAR) to ensure positioning, navigation, and timing superiority for the Department of Defense. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and focuses on modeling, simulation, and the development of advanced payloads and systems for NAVWAR missions.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level insight to NAVWAR engineering support as a Modeling and Simulation SME.
• Conduct research and development of multi-function small form factor payloads for NAVWAR missions.
• Develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts for distributed electronic sensing effects.
• Utilize EW signal processing algorithms for threat detection and countermeasures.
• Develop systems to support GPS hardening against NAVWAR effects.
• Create RF hardware and software solutions for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions.
• Investigate heterogeneous sensing concepts across various platforms.
• Design and implement testing for RF and software-defined radio frameworks.
• Reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions.
• Synthesize and allocate system requirements to ensure compliance with mission needs.
• Support development of RF solutions for airborne mission environments.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems affected by PNT/GPS denial/deception.
• Conduct technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products.
• Research state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.
• Collaborate with customers to integrate solutions into various applications.
• Debug, test, and validate capabilities using unit tests and reported scenarios.

Requirements

• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in NAVWAR or related fields.
• Prior leadership or management experience in higher-level roles.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field.
• Current TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer License (PE) for senior level candidates.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
