Navigate Family Engagement Therapist (26-23)
About The Position
We are seeking a Navigate Family Engagement Specialist responsible for providing Navigate services focusing on the family/support system of the individual experiencing early on-set psychosis, adhering to the Navigate model of care, as well as other supporting modalities of care. In conjunction with the Program Manager role, is responsible for directing and overseeing the delivery of clinical services provided by the Navigate team. The role functions as part of a Coordinated Specialty Care team that includes a Program Manager, Individual Resiliency Therapist, Family Engagement Specialist, Supported Employment and Education Specialist, prescriber, and Peer Supports. This position offers extensive training in the Navigate model as well as other evidence-based interventions. In addition, there is regular access to, and consultation with other Navigate sites in Michigan.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology, Counseling or Counseling Psychology
- Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, or psychologist.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and treatment methodology
- Ability to perform work in community settings which may not be barrier-free.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use including transporting of clients
- Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs
Nice To Haves
- Fully licensed MSW preferred
- 2 years of experience providing direct services to individuals that have experienced psychosis preferred
- Experience with the 15-30-year-old population preferred
- MCBAP certification as a CAADC preferred
- Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy preferred
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
