The Part-Time Natural Resource Technician assists the natural resource manager and resource technicians with invasive plant control, native seed collection, and general natural resource tasks as assigned. A working knowledge of local flora and fauna and experience with agricultural equipment preferred. Must be willing to apply herbicides within park natural areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years and older.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent and an interest in natural resource management with preference given to individuals with advanced course work in the field.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and have a good driving record verified through a background check.
  • Ability to work outdoors and tolerate the climate and conditions of natural areas typical to NE Kansas.
  • JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
