About The Position
The Rental Technician II at Warren CAT is a pivotal role responsible for delivering high-quality repair services on natural gas power generation equipment. This position is designed to meet customer needs promptly and effectively, ensuring that all work performed maximizes value while adhering to safety and quality standards. The technician will engage in various tasks that include completing assigned jobs within the Caterpillar Equipment Repair Labor Guidelines (ERLG), maintaining a strong focus on safety protocols, and ensuring that all related paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. This includes work orders, parts orders, and other necessary documentation required for job completion. In this role, the technician will be expected to follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations diligently. The responsibilities also encompass the removal and installation of parts, disassembly and assembly of components, and the cleaning and inspection of assemblies with minimal supervision. A solid understanding of Cat reusability guidelines is essential, as is the ability to perform warranty downloads of ECM and test the correct operation of all repairs and adjustments. The technician will apply general failure analysis techniques to diagnose issues effectively and will be responsible for completing all Level I & Level II assigned training promptly. Additionally, mentoring fellow Rental team members is a key aspect of this position, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
