About The Position

Kinder Morgan is seeking a proven leader with relevant skills and experience to join our team based out of our KinderHawk office in Shreveport, LA. The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervisory leadership to crews in the assigned geographic area. The role involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of our assets within the KinderHawk system to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This includes ensuring compliance with company procedures and government regulations, managing budgets, and overseeing employee training and development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; a two or four-year college degree in a technical area preferred.
  • Knowledge of the company procedures and government regulations relevant to pipeline operations.
  • Prior supervisory experience or a minimum of 5 years experience in the natural gas industry.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
  • May be required to possess a commercial driver's license and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of our assets within the KinderHawk system.
  • Ensures the implementation and enforcement of all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security, and personnel functions.
  • Provide leadership and oversee the planning and direction of activities at multiple locations within the area.
  • Manage, plan, and forecast the Capital and O&M Budgets for the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in the development of O&M procedures, site-specific procedures, project scopes, and work plans.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Set objectives for the preparation of the operating and capital budgets for the area of responsibility.
  • Review progress, direct changes in priorities and schedules as needed.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.
  • Develop short and long-term plans, goals, and objectives within the Area operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting pipeline operations.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Oversee general pipeline maintenance and DOT compliance activities within the area of responsibility.
