We are looking for a Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. Candidates must have a high school diploma, and one or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required and experience with MicroStation, and ESRI is a plus. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: Typical responsibilities include: Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD Generate bill of materials Ability to work independently Print working drawings using a plotter Create estimated time requirements for projects Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc. Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure Verify and organize field visit survey notes Assist Project Managers as needed Attend meetings as needed Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment
