About The Position

NATO Digital Backbone Systems Analyst (Command Network Systems Analyst) Location: Norfolk, VA (On-site at NATO HQ SACT) Employment Type: Full-time, contractor support (contingent upon contract award & customer approval) Security Clearance: Active/eligible for NATO or National SECRET (or higher) Openings: 1 opening Target Base Salary Range: $77,000 - $124,000 Travel: Occasional mission travel as required. Role Overview Support the CIS Branch on the NATO Digital Backbone / NATO Command Information Systems Initiative (NDBB/NCISI). You will facilitate stakeholder workshops, develop and integrate high-level CIS requirements, support dashboards and reporting, and contribute to planning and execution of NDBB-related exercises and experimentation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in CIS capability integration, systems engineering, CIS requirements, and/or project management.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, information sciences/technology, math, etc.).
  • 3+ years knowledge/experience with project management techniques and producing coherent studies/recommendations.
  • Ability to participate in high-level discussions/workshops and produce professional documents and briefings.
  • Knowledge of NATO organizational structure; experience in a defence or technical development environment.
  • Familiarity with CIS areas such as data centres, cloud computing, communications, and application services.
  • Valid NATO nation passport with no travel restrictions; citizen of a NATO member nation; active or eligible for NATO/National SECRET (or higher) clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Federated Mission Networking (FMN) and enterprise architecture working groups.
  • Experience building executive dashboards and SharePoint-based programme sites.
  • Prior support to NATO capability planning or CIS initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide products and support services to the CIS Branch for NDBB/NCISI efforts.
  • Plan and facilitate NDBB/NCISI workshops with NATO and national stakeholders.
  • Develop and integrate coherent capability requirements across NDBB-related efforts.
  • Support ACO in developing high-level operational requirements supporting NDBB.
  • Consult with architects, programme/project managers, system engineers, and operational users across NATO.
  • Maintain and update programme management dashboards and SharePoint sites.
  • Develop briefings, presentations, and information papers for leadership and governance bodies.
  • Support planning, execution, and reporting for NDBB-related exercises and experimentation.
