About The Position

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Native Title Lead to join our Access and Approvals team in Perth on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Access and Approvals Manager, you will build, manage, and maintain trusting, respectful and productive relationships with traditional owners, have a good moral compass and act with integrity, negotiating native title agreements and providing advice in relation to native title for new development projects.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Archaeology, Planning, Environmental Science, Legal, Sustainability, Construction etc).
  • Extensive experience in Indigenous relationships, Indigenous engagement and agreement making.
  • Extensive experience in a similar lead role within the renewables, infrastructure, construction or power projects sector
  • The ability and willing to travel to remote project sites
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Provide extensive guidance on the native title requirements for new projects.
  • Identify, schedule and manage all aspects of the native title workstreams for key projects
  • Overseeing specialist consultants, along with supporting power generation and business development roles by providing advice on feasibility, schedule, and cost of potential projects
  • Assess strategies and feasibility for land access options required for development projects
  • Develop projects to achieve customer and corporate objectives
