About The Position

The National Wholesale, Publishing, & Collegiate Manager is responsible for driving market results for company partner sales revenue. This includes producing and executing proactive action plans to increase company sales revenue growth objectives through the optimization of existing sales channels and the development of new and infantile channels This role also will focus on leading, coaching, and developing their team to execute on the strategic initiatives that drive strong sales results through strong account management and growth strategies. The incumbent will need to ensure clarity of the strategic vision for their organization and hold the team to a set high standards and accountability. Additionally, the Director of Wholesale Publishing will identify marketing strategies, will need to pay close attention to identifying emerging trends and developing action plans to address, and partner flawlessly with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results. The National Wholesale, Publishing, & Collegiate Manager position includes both direct selling and indirect sales through sales subordinates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in a high touch sales environment.
  • Proven track record of success in multi-channel sales
  • Demonstrated sales and sales leadership with ability to get results through others
  • Strong sales process development, improvement, and support
  • Effective performance management skills.
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable.
  • Prior track record of success in an account management and development role.
  • Ability to work with & understand complex channels & distribution models.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental financial concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in the industries served by The CE Shop and experience in web-based learning delivery desired

Responsibilities

  • Manage (hire, train, coach and measure performance of) all sales team members and functions to ensure that they are aligned with business strategy and results are produced
  • Establish and manage sales forecasting activities (territories, quotas, etc.) and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Evaluate existing and new sales processes regularly and recommend changes as appropriate. Act as liaison between internal departments and external customers in all sales processes.
  • Responsible for owning all sales functions and talent within their market within the US.
  • Responsible for communicating effectively across all levels of the organization in order to influence team to execute on strategies.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by counseling regional/national account executives and account managers; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Champion the use of CRM tool with team to drive informed decision making.
  • Identify emerging trends and developing actionable plans to address through sustainable relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal functions such as Product Development, Marketing and IT to continue product offering growth and proper positioning.
  • Leverage internal resources to assist in solution development or implementation as necessary.
  • Manages and holds themselves accountable to a priority-based schedule with prospective customers.
  • Able to make informed decisions on time prioritization and model this behavior for direct reports.
  • Develop a solid understanding of company products, customer programs and benefits, and our market development sales approach to effectively engage with prospective customers.
  • Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with industry influencers and key strategic partners of The CE Shop. Represent the company at promotional events as necessary. Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making.
