Implement and evaluate computer vision or image‑processing algorithms, potentially involving object detection, tracking, or image enhancement (if background allows). Assist with simulation, modeling, or data‑driven studies related to aerospace or mechanical engineering concepts (e.g., kinematic relationships, sensor geometries). Develop, test, and validate algorithms that use vector math, including dot/cross products, coordinate frame transformations, and geometric projections. Perform basic digital signal processing (DSP) tasks such as filtering, Fourier analysis, and time–frequency characterization using MATLAB or Python. Contribute to the design or improvement of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for internal tools using MATLAB App Designer, Python frameworks, or other UI technologies. Document code, results, and methodology clearly to support team collaboration and future reuse. Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot software or algorithm issues, iterating solutions from initial concept to tested implementation. Present progress in team meetings and provide written summaries of findings, ensuring technical clarity and attention to detail. Work both independently and as part of a small technical team, taking ownership of assigned tasks and driving them to completion. Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
