Who We’re Looking For We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IAM SailPoint Engineering Leader to guide and manage our Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineering team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day IAM operations, prioritizing team initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant IAM solutions, with a strong focus on SailPoint technologies alongside integrations with other Identity technologies, such as Okta and Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Deep technical expertise in SailPoint (IIQ/ISC), Okta (CIAM and Workforce Identity), and Privileged Access Management (e.g., CyberArk).
  • Proven ability to manage IAM operations, including lifecycle management, access governance, and compliance adherence.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and managing projects using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across all organizational levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as SailPoint Certified IIQ Engineer, Okta certifications, CISSP, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud IAM integrations (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IAM engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Manage team workload, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively to meet business and security demands.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and professional growth opportunities within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Operations, Governance, Incident Response, and Engineering to align IAM efforts with organizational goals.
  • Manage service delivery internal to TMCC and externally to Toyota Sales Finance Companies (peer organizations)
  • Oversee the ongoing operation, support, and optimization of IAM solutions including SailPoint IIQ/ISC
  • Coordinate cross functional relationships, processes, and operations across IAM technologies
  • Ensure IAM systems meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IAM processes, automation, and operational efficiency using frameworks such as ITIL, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Lead incident response efforts related to identity and access security, providing technical guidance and rapid resolution.
  • Develop and execute the IAM team’s roadmap in alignment with Toyota’s broader security strategy and business priorities.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical IAM solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging IAM technologies, and best practices to innovate and future-proof the IAM program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SailPoint-related initiatives, communicating status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and business partners.
  • Advocate for IAM priorities and resource needs within the organization.
