About The Position

Your role is focused on providing leadership of the firm-wide Mental/Behavioral Health Market of CannonDesign over $10.0M in revenue per year. This includes being responsible for developing and leading high-performance diverse teams focused on the development and implementation of the Submarket Business Plan. You will contribute to the success of the firm including the areas of strategy and market intelligence, business development and strategic client positioning, client and team leadership, expertise and resource development including mentoring of our people. You will be accountable to integrate our range of design services, managing our processes and delivering solid financial performance for the submarket. Importantly, you will be an ambassador of our brand, championing Living-Centered Design and bringing our Firm's purpose - to help people continuously flourish - to life in every touchpoint you have with our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or engineering or a relevant field.
  • Current Registration/Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Mental/Behavioral Health Market within the Design Industry (A/E/C), with a preference for 20 years of related experience.
  • Proven track record of top line, strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Mental/Behavioral Health Market.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on strategic activities and top-tier client pursuits that support the growth and impact of the submarket.
  • Leverage Market Intelligence to develop and implement a business plan focused on future growth strategies, resource needs, and brand opportunities.
  • Develop and position CannonDesign for new business opportunities with premier target clients.
  • Lead, engage and partner with clients on billable project-specific work.
  • Act as a leading voice for the submarket both externally and internally.
  • Develop and advance strategic initiatives and client pursuit strategies that lead to the growth of the submarket.
  • Work with Market Leaders, Client Leaders, and other firm-wide resources to grow the top line of the submarket.
  • Identify future market trends and opportunities for growth and advancement of the submarket.
  • Collaborate with various leaders to ensure successful implementation of business plan bottom line initiatives.
  • Build a network and recruit top tier talent and expertise to build a high-performance team.
