The National Field Applications Manager, Life Science is responsible for leading a high-performing team of Field Applications Specialists. This role blends scientific expertise with commercial insight to support our sales team, build and sustain revenue growth, drive customer success, and enhance technical and applications support. This position reports to the National Director, Life Science and is part of the Field applications, Life Science team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree requires. Advanced degree (MS or PhD preferred) in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Extensive experience in IHC, IF, and automated laboratory instrumentation.
  • Experience in Brightfield & Fluorescent Slide Scanning
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting sales or business development activities.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights.
  • Ability to travel 70 % travel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop a National Team – Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing U.S. Field Applications Specialist team, strengthening both technical excellence and commercial effectiveness.
  • Provide Scientific & Technical Leadership – Ensure deep applications expertise across IHC, immunofluorescence (IF), brightfield slide scanning, automated instrumentation, and multiplex reagents.
  • Own Applications Execution – Oversee assay optimization, troubleshooting, instrument validation, and complex system installations to ensure consistent, high-quality field execution.
  • Enable Compelling Demonstrations & Education – Coach the team on delivering impactful product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer-facing training that differentiate solutions.
  • Drive Commercial Impact – Partner closely with sales and commercial leadership to support consultative selling, pre-sales strategy, and effective product positioning that drives revenue growth.
  • Champion the Customer Experience – Serve as the senior technical escalation point, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues and delivering strategic, customer-centric solutions.
  • Build Scalable Operations – Establish standardized workflows, documentation, and performance metrics while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to sustain operational excellence.

  • The annual salary range for this role is $125,000.00 – $145,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
