  • Lead, mentor, and manage intricate design projects associated with new product development and existing product modifications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and provide approvals while collaborating with the Global Center for Excellence (GCOE) to develop estimating design criteria.
  • Facilitate daily project prioritization and maintain effective communication channels with the GCOE to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor and analyze Year-over-Year and Month-over-Month performance metrics, consolidating wins and cost data for comprehensive reporting.
  • Authorize estimating labor hours and oversee accurate billing processes, ensuring seamless monthly cost transfer entries.
  • Promote the effective utilization of Salesforce GCOE cases to guarantee accurate KPIs, maintain meticulous records, and streamline billing.
  • Define and implement the estimating department's strategy for growth and business impact, driving continuous improvement.
  • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize feedback from the field, incorporating insights into estimating strategies and deliverables for enhanced performance.
  • Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivery plans for training and operational countermeasures.
  • Proactively develop countermeasures for underperforming KPIs to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion the adoption of new design software tools (such as Revit and Hydra-CAD) to enhance design capabilities.
  • Effectively leverage offshore resources to minimize design costs and secure a competitive advantage in the market.
  • Develop and maintain price tables for Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Work Order Management (WOM), ensuring accurate material pricing is consistently communicated across the organization.
  • Support and enhance the utilization of the North America (NA) design group, aiming to reduce reliance on sub-design work where feasible.
  • Provide assistance to the NA design group on post-sale design initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and integration.
  • Foster and cultivate positive relationships with sales, installation, and procurement teams to facilitate collaboration and alignment.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, demonstrating advanced capabilities.
  • Exceptional people skills, acting as a key facilitator between JCI and the GCOE to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Experienced in BOM, Hydraulic Calculations and Labor or design estimates.
  • NICET Certification is highly preferred, showcasing a commitment to professional excellence in the field.
  • Knowledge and or utilizing Sprink-Cad and Hydra-CAD.
  • Sales and Estimating experience is a plus.
