About The Position

Qualified candidates must have National Commercial experience as a Reader, must be able multitask, portray excellent verbal and written communication skills and be computer proficient.

Requirements

  • Candidates with experience and strong knowledge of Title Insurance are encouraged to apply.
  • 10+ plus years of experience as a Reader
  • Knowledge of SoftPro Select a plus
  • Great time management skills
  • Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work in both team oriented and self-directed environments.
  • Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
  • High level of accountability

  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Property Reports, Title Commitments and/or summaries outlining findings, exceptions, and requirements for title insurance coverage for commercial transactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of abstracts, surveys, and other relevant documents to assess the insurability of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Identify and analyze potential title defects, liens, encumbrances, and other matters that may affect the transfer of property ownership.
  • Verify the accuracy of legal descriptions, property boundaries, and ownership history through research and analysis.
  • Plotting and creating new metes and bounds descriptions
  • Collaborate closely with title examiners, underwriters, and legal counsel to resolve complex title issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriting teams and clients, to address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
