About The Position

The National Commercial Closer plays a key role in managing and facilitating complex commercial real estate transactions nationwide. This position works closely with TRG agents, lenders, and internal teams to coordinate the closing process, ensuring transactions are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The role supports the successful funding and disbursement of transactions while also serving as a resource to agents and internal partners on best practices, procedures, and operational improvements that strengthen TRG’s commercial closing capabilities.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in escrow required
  • Technical and confident knowledge of the closing process is required.
  • Ability and experience to balance a closing statement by hand is required.
  • Experience with a leading closing software system required (such as RamQuest, SoftPro, ResWare, Qualia, etc.). Experience with multiple closing software systems is preferred.
  • Great communication and customer-oriented skills required.
  • Patience is required.
  • Problem-solving skills required.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Position is remote. Excellent internet access required.
  • Some travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Escrow branch manager experience a plus.
  • Prior escrow training experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and work closely with internal team, TRG agents, and lenders to accomplish funding and disbursements of closed transactions in a timely, efficient and error-free manner - executing such services at a highly professional level.
  • Review escrow closing instructions and have authority to sign on behalf of TRG as they relate to funding/disbursements of funds.
  • Verify wire instructions for accuracy and security.
  • Obtain approval from lenders, ordering updates and determining clearance to fund/disburse with lenders and TRG agents.
  • Coordinate multi-site, multi-state commercial transactions from order entry through policy issuance and income recognition. In collaboration with TRG agents and underwriting counsels.
  • Improve processes and procedures for the l national disbursement desk and commercial closing operations; including implementing safeguards, processes, and associated tech systems.
  • Support TRG Agency Department as an advisor, consultant, and educator to TRG Agents, as to proper escrow procedures and software systems.
  • Advise underwriting and claims counsel as to practical issues and industry-common procedures in the escrow process.
  • Work closely with Agency Department to increase customer base.
