About The Position

The Analyst will be primarily responsible for assisting with the daily administration of the firm’s alternative investments which include CDFIs and private placements. Ongoing work includes supporting the NCS Associate in updating market values and transactions in the performance system(s) and ensuring that investment information is being received from managers and flowing into document collection system..

Requirements

  • Certification or college degree in finance, wealth management, financial planning, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 or more years’ experience working in a bank, brokerage, or similar financial institution environment preferred
  • Experience working with high-net-worth families preferred
  • Experience with investment performance measurement and alternative investments preferred
  • Basic knowledge of investment account types, strategies and performance measurement methods
  • Familiarity with business related software and systems including, but not limited to Tamarac, Envestnet, and Salesforce
  • Strong technical skills; experience with database systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications -- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Google Gemini

Responsibilities

  • Support NCS team efforts to increase firm service efficiencies, uniformity, and increased client service satisfaction
  • Update firm-wide private placement control sheets and the CDFI interest rate sheet
  • Assist in the monitoring of reports for the National Client Service Team identifying upcoming renewals, new private placements onboarding, capital calls and redemptions
  • Complete new client and renewal paperwork for community development financial institution (CDFI) promissory notes and CDs
  • Assist in the processing and completion of wires for private placement funding and capital calls (once approved for cashiering)
  • Assist in the facilitation of updates to client address, contact information, assignments, and other informational updates for all alternative investments
  • Assist in the updating of performance reporting for all alternative investments, including held away assets; quality check for accuracy and troubleshoot any issues
  • Assist in the confirmation of client wire details for distributions from private placement managers
  • Ensure that new investments are added in Tamarac, Envestnet, and Canoe, and that terminated investments are updated accordingly
  • Assist in the updating and maintenance of the following systems: Canoe, ShareFile, Salesforce, Tamarac, and Envestnet
  • Assist in large-scale data aggregation and manipulation
  • Support NCS team tax season efforts by assisting with the downloading of tax documents from custodial platforms, Canoe, and manager portals
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects
