As a National Business Development Manager, Regional Grocery, you will drive strategy and growth with external and internal business partners to transform and shape our future in a portfolio of Regional Grocers, one of our largest business segments. You will own key relationships with existing and new licensed business partners and operate as a general manager. Your work will be broad, impactful, and highly cross-functional. You will be responsible for new store development and portfolio management, program innovation and adoption, complex negotiations, technology solutioning, and supporting Starbucks world-class Retail Operations team.

  • Strategically deepen and expand partnerships with key executive level stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver a robust pipeline of new stores
  • Lead initiatives to drive licensee performance, accountability, and shape behavior
  • Foster cross functional collaboration & program implementation
  • Analyze performance data and insights mapping them to business plans and forecasts
  • Franchise development and/or business development experience, preferably in Starbucks Licensed Stores Business Development environment (5+ years)
  • Direct experience negotiating complex agreements and contracts with executives (5+ years)
  • B2B Sales and strategic account management with Fortune 500 or industry leading companies (5+ years)
  • Demonstrates strong executive presence and maturity
  • General management: application of multi-disciplinary business practices with internal and external teams (e.g. marketing, strategy, finance, store development, operations) (5+ years)
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving capabilities
  • Expertise at simplifying complicated material to communicate in a concise and effective way
  • Ability to influence C level leaders in significant investment decisions and change management
  • Ability to adapt strategies and plans, and thrive in an ambiguous environment
