About The Position
Pearson is actively seeking National Board-Certified Teachers (NBCTs), and practicing educators who are currently working at least half-time and have at least three years of full-time teaching/counseling experience in a PK-12 setting at our Albuquerque, NM. We need educators who are currently teaching at least half-time in the following certificate areas: Art, Exceptional Needs Specialist, Generalist Middle Childhood, Literacy: Reading-Language Arts, Physical Education Early Adolescence through Young Childhood. National Board assessors score candidate responses to portfolio or assessment center exercises and are trained to look for evidence of a candidate's practice through the lens of the National Board standards. Assessors are compensated at an hourly rate for all training and scoring activities, and the regular work hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the project.
