About The Position

The DCCC is hiring a Voter Protection National Ballot Cure Manager to oversee cure programs for the 2026 election cycle. This individual will report to the Deputy Voter Protection Director responsible for overseeing all post-election work. This individual is responsible for building and executing a ballot cure program that reaches across the congressional battlefield. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive ballot cure program spanning the entire congressional battlefield. Ideal candidates for this position will have a strong background in volunteer management through prior Voter Protection or Organizing work and have experience using tech tools including VAN. Key duties include managing the Ballot Cure Hotline infrastructure, which involves the recruitment and training of volunteers. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Requirements

  • 1+ (two years) cycles working in Voter Protection or 2+ (four years) cycles working in Organizing required
  • Extensive experience managing volunteers and building out remote volunteer infrastructure at scale required
  • Prior experience pulling lists on VAN, creating Mobilize events, and using Slack to manage volunteer infrastructure required
  • 1+ (two years) cycle experience running statewide ballot cure is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of all ballot cure programming for DCCC’s battlefield districts, including running the Cure Hotline and coordinating in-person ballot cure
  • Manage one staff member who will assist in running the Cure Hotline
  • Coordinate all cure programing with campaigns and Regional Voter Protection Directors
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, including on how to use the Cure Hotline and the various methods of ballot cure in different states
  • Create cure programming supports that serve the needs of all voters (non-English speaking voters, voters with disabilities, and other underserved communities)
  • Run phonebanks, including preparing trainings and materials, creating Mobilize events and recruiting volunteers, and pulling lists, drafting scripts, and creating OpenVPBs
  • Provide resources and support around post-election and cure related issues to voter protection staff at state parties and on campaigns
  • Serve as a resource to staff and volunteers, and ensure they provide accurate and useful information about the ballot cure process
  • Help the Voter Protection team identify and address larger trends that may impact voters’ ability to successfully cure their ballots, with a specific focus on addressing barriers faced by vulnerable voters
  • Manage the backend of the Hotline’s operating system; staff Hotline shifts and provide technical assistance to users
  • Additional duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Voter Protection team
