Requirements

  • 5 plus proven years of experience as a field substation services coach with passion for teaching others or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with all technical aspects and levels of the technician/mechanical, and all levels of tester roles proficiency, along with supervisor role proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to travel to Voltyx Academy in Nashville, TN to serve as facilitator/instructor.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Prior experience in developing training materials and programs or instructor in our industry.
  • People management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive training curriculum for the specified equipment, ensuring coverage of theoretical knowledge and practical application.
  • Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for field service technicians.
  • Provide hands-on training to technicians on the proper usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various electrical equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate relevant changes into training programs.
  • Collect feedback from field service teams to continuously improve and enhance training curriculum and methods.
  • Develop training materials, including elearning, job aids, videos, participant guides, and work with instructional design teams for other blended methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant feedback and evaluation of curriculum, and performance assessments.
  • Work closely with the operations and safety/quality teams to understand specific training needs and customize curriculum accordingly.
