About The Position
The Event Specialist at Nasdaq MarketSite is a pivotal role that supports the execution of various events and ceremonies, particularly the daily Opening and Closing bell ceremonies. This position is situated in the heart of Times Square, New York City, and is integral to enhancing Nasdaq's value proposition through meticulous planning and coordination of events for both issuers and non-issuers. The Event Specialist will work closely with internal business partners to ensure that all events are executed flawlessly, reflecting the high standards of Nasdaq's brand and service. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Event Specialist will be responsible for producing live broadcasts and recorded programs, including daily Nasdaq ceremonies, client interviews, and special celebrations. The role requires a proactive approach to event management, with responsibilities that include planning and executing a variety of events such as analyst days, press conferences, receptions, and product launches. The Event Specialist will also coordinate tours and photo opportunities, ensuring that all clients receive superior customer service and hospitality. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is crucial, as the Event Specialist will work to increase revenue opportunities and encourage repeat visits. This involves liaising with vendors to explore unique marketing opportunities and promoting the MarketSite to enhance visibility and sales revenue. The role demands a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, capable of making effective presentations and interfacing with C-level executives. The Event Specialist will also educate the organization on how to leverage MarketSite for increased exposure and revenue.
