CACI is looking for a Spacecraft Battery Systems Engineer to work with NASA's human-rated spacecraft systems in support of our Nation's space exploration initiative at NASA / Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. Candidates should have great interest in aerospace vehicles and systems, enjoy working with batteries, battery charge/discharge systems, and other battery technologies. This engineering position supports cell-level battery testing and inspection as well battery module materials and build-up for next generation space systems. Specific assignments will involve analysis of battery cell data to characterize battery designs. Work will include supporting thermal runaway testing as well as advancing technologies supporting innovation around calorimetric measurement. The ideal candidate has a background space-rated battery domain. This position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise. Finally, the most qualified candidate will be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner, must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program, and share in the excitement of developing future human-rated space vehicles.
