About The Position

NAPA is looking for talented individuals to join their family as an Automotive Parts Specialist. This role is more than just a parts store position; while a background and knowledge of automotive parts are preferred, it's not strictly required to be able to rebuild a motor. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a career as a Parts Specialist, seeking day or night work, or aiming to get their foot in the door to explore other career paths within NAPA. The specialist will be responsible for providing and sourcing parts for specialized equipment for fleet customers, assisting other NAPA team members with parts knowledge, and answering customer questions. They are expected to provide outstanding customer service, interact with management and technicians, and bring a customer-focused, high-energy approach to a fast-paced environment. Key tasks include asking appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and sourced, and informing customers about parts availability.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical or Trade school courses or degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great listening skills and empathy for customer
  • Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment

Nice To Haves

  • Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
  • Experience in airport ground support equipment
  • Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus
  • Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)
  • ASE Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide and source parts for specialized equipment for our fleet customers
  • Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer questions for customers
  • Provide outstanding customer service and interact with management and technicians
