SHREVEPORT, LA (NATIONWIDE SEARCH) - Warm and welcoming first-time parents are seeking a professional, experienced, and engaging FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their 6-month-old son. The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates, with a preference for someone who is open to living in initially for the first few months, then transitioning to a live-out role once they are settled in the area. They are open to long-term live-in arrangements for the perfect fit. Their son is a happy, curious, and socially engaged baby who loves being outdoors. He follows an “eat, play, sleep” routine and is currently transitioning from three naps to two while beginning solids. He was born with torticollis and developed plagiocephaly as a result, and he attends weekly physical therapy appointments. He will begin wearing a corrective helmet in April for approximately 2–4 months. The family is looking for a nanny who is comfortable supporting his development and collaborating with them around his care plan. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the understanding that flexibility is appreciated. While most weeks will follow this structure, there may be occasional schedule shifts to later hours, such as 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, as well as an evening once per week. The family may also request occasional weekend support of 3–5 hours on one weekend day, typically no more than twice per month and generally only when one parent is traveling. Mom works from home in a private office space, and dad's position is hybrid, but will work outside of the home in the fall. Responsibilities include providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care, engaging the child through talking, singing, reading, and play, and supporting his motor development with guidance from his physical therapy team. The nanny will also be responsible for preparing meals for the child as solids are introduced, managing all child-related laundry along with some light family laundry, running errands such as grocery pick-ups, and transporting the child to appointments and activities as needed. Maintaining a tidy and organized environment related to the child is also expected. The family travels several times per year and would love a nanny who is open to joining them on occasion, typically for one to two trips per year lasting 1-2 weeks at a time. Trips are primarily domestic, but a passport-ready candidate is preferred. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $35–$42 per hour, paid via payroll, along with paid vacation, sick days, and holidays. A health insurance stipend is negotiable, and mileage reimbursement will be provided for any work-related driving. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. The family has a friendly Standard Poodle in the home, though no pet care is required. The nanny must have a reliable personal vehicle and be comfortable using either their own or a family vehicle depending on the situation, and must be up to date on all standard vaccinations. The ideal candidate is warm, upbeat, and professional, with a calm and steady presence. They will have 5–10+ years of infant/toddler experience, be CPR certified, and communicate clearly and proactively. The family is seeking someone who can take initiative, anticipate needs, and confidently make decisions while partnering closely with them on developmental milestones and evolving routines. Above all, they hope to find a nanny who will feel like a trusted partner and a valued extension of their family. The start date is ASAP.
