This position is responsible for supporting the Procurement Department which supports the Akima, LLC family of companies. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school. As a Procurement Intern, you’ll not only learn and observe, but you’ll be also an active part of the process. This role is a launchpad into government contracting. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to real procurement actions. Procurement is just one aspect of a business. Here you can develop the foundation for a career in acquisition, supply chain, contracts, program management and beyond since the skills you develop will translate to many other areas of business. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting federal customers through compliant, strategic, and mission-driven procurement operations. You’ll gain real exposure to laws and regulations such as FAR/DFARS that govern our processes, supplier engagement, subcontract administration, and actively participate in cross-functional collaboration with Contracts, Finance, and Program Management teams.
