The Nail Technician is responsible for providing exceptional guest interactions while offering a full range of nail services in a luxury environment.

Requirements

  • Current and active Nail Technician or Cosmetology License from the State of Virginia.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Nail Technician
  • Ability to learn, remember and perform all nail treatments as outlined in the therapist protocol manual.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management, both orally and in writing using correct spelling and grammar, in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Provide all nail treatments as outlined in the Keswick Hall Spa protocol manual.
  • Explain and promote all spa and resort facilities, services and activities to guests, members and staff.
  • Develop, implement and reinforce spa treatment protocols, ensuring the protocol handbook is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and make recommendations for maintenance. Report any needed repairs to Spa Supervisor/Director.
  • Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
  • Greet guests and escort them to the salon area. Upon completion of service, escort guest to the next appointment, relaxation area, locker room, etc.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled shift unless treatment requires earlier arrival time. Return punctually form breaks and meal periods.
  • Maintain helpful, cooperative relationships with co-workers.
  • Stock treatment area before, during and after each shift.
  • Strictly adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines, cleaning and disinfecting all required items used in the treatment before shift ends.
  • Participate in and support hotel and company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate information regarding guest history and preferences for profile input.
  • Ability to participate in a conversation for lengths of time without talking about self.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all guests and hotel information.
  • Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents.
  • Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
