Requirements

  • High school education.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to stand for most of the shift.
  • Must have general knowledge of chemicals.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to utilize PLC for unloading and pH adjustment calculations.
  • Basic mathematical skills( add; subtract; divide; multiply) and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Insures regulatory compliance.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Responsible for handling all tankers that arrive at the site.
  • Must unload product into the silos.
  • Responsible for pumping egg into either silos or pasteurizers depending upon the product.
  • Managing liquid egg inventory by applying “Run Rules” as well as CIP requirements.
  • Monitoring silos availability as well as tanker truck movement in the yard/tanker bay.
  • Understanding the requirement surrounding Allergen products and managing silo utilization based on it.
  • Must handle all chemicals in the tanker and silos.
  • Responsible for bringing sample products to the Micro Lab for testing.
  • Responsible for CIP pump out lines, pickup.
  • Must disassemble, clean and assemble production pumps.
  • Responsible for checking with the production supervisor the plans for the next day and coordinating the holdover in the silos.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
