Manager, Contract and Pricing Operations Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Contracts and Pricing Operations, Direct Business Segment, the Manager, Contract and Pricing Operations will lead a centralized team responsible for pricing and contract operations within BD's Global Business Services (GBS) organization. This leader will collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, and all key stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant pricing and contract execution across the BD Interventional portfolio. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with a strong commitment to coaching for development and continuous improvement and a dedication to delivering results that matter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing, contracts, commercial operations, or GBS.
  • Proven experience in leading process transitions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with I5, Vistex and pricing systems preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, JDE or other enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plays a significant role in execution excellence through close supervision and coaching of contracts and pricing operations team.
  • Plays a key role in implementing key business decisions.
  • Accountable to deliver all service levels for contract and pricing process timeliness and accuracy.
  • Leading a new Pricing & Contract Operations BDI team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching and development.
  • Delivers dedicated team alignment and execution of pricing and contract processes.
  • Ensure accurate execution of letter of commitments (LOC), customer set-up and maintenance (CS&M), group purchasing organization (GPO) group transitions and local contracts for new and renewal agreements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to pricing activation and membership.
  • Collaborate regularly with distributor partners, GPOs, business unit sales teams, commercial operations pillars, and commercial customers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong business partnership with commercial stakeholders contributing to sales growth.
  • Partner with functional counterparts to ensure alignment of pricing strategies and contract terms.
  • Maximize utilization of automation and digital enterprise tools for efficient pricing and contract processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all pricing and contract activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Commercial, Finance, and any additional stakeholders regarding pricing and contract operations.
  • Partner with Performance Management Workforce Management team to monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate risks, mitigation strategies, and progress updates to Associate Director Contracts and Pricing Operations.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
