About The Position

This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety & quality are followed and complied with uniformly to reduce product and process variability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 2 + years of experience operating machinery, and handling GMPs and product specifications
  • SPC (weight control)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic Computer skills necessary to operate equipment controls
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and trainings
  • Always ensure regulatory compliance
  • Run, clean, conduct preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots extended run fillers, i.e.: Elopack Fillers/Cappers Scholle (AF/19)/ Tote Filler Hamba
  • Follows all SOPs for Production/Sanitation
  • Accurately maintains all required documentation in real time
  • Proactively plan and lead changeover activities for fillers and date coding, and advise Supervisor of the resources (mechanics, materials), and communication needed
  • Ensures line S-Max targets and material shrinkage targets are met
  • Maintains active communication with ESL Pasteurizer operators to ensure an efficient operation
  • Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies/procedures and incorporate safety and health in all job duties/tasks
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
