About The Position

The Trainer position at NIKE, Inc. focuses on delivering engaging training programs to retail leaders and store teams, enhancing their skills in service, selling, and leadership. This role is integral to the Training and Onboarding team, working closely with various stakeholders to implement effective training strategies that support business operations and foster a diverse and motivated workforce.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' retail leadership experience, including 2 years of training facilitation experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in coaching and counseling employees.
  • Experience in presenting or facilitating content preferred.
  • Experience with both in-person and virtual facilitation preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with AirTable and Keynote and/or PowerPoint preferred.
  • Physical ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions to multi-unit leaders, store leaders, and athletes on various Global and NA training priorities.
  • Train various retail Firstline Program participants on leadership and career development topics.
  • Proactively seek insights and trends around skill gaps and collaborate with NAX Leaders on strategies to address these training needs.
  • Apply a train-the-trainer approach to prepare multi-unit store leaders for ongoing learning.
  • Coordinate and implement leadership training and Athlete onboarding for new store openings.
  • Act as the liaison between Nike Direct corporate, NAX partners, and Field Retail Leadership.
  • Visit Nike retail stores to measure, evaluate, and support in-store training progress.
  • Monitor store-level progress toward priorities by tracking and reporting key training metrics.
  • Build, track, and implement project enablement plans from brief to sustain.
  • Solicit feedback and provide detailed and useful feedback on training behaviors.
