About The Position

Tom Wood Group located in Indianapolis IN, is currently searching for a Used Car Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with deep automotive knowledge and the ability to drive exceptional customer experiences while maximizing profitability. You must have Automotive experience in Management or Finance. The right candidate will be a self-starter with the mindset of growing your career.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years leadership experience within the automotive industry.
  • Strong desking, CRM, and closing skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, demonstrating exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage diverse teams within the store.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, train, and manage the sales team to enhance sales performance while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Actively participate in team development to maximize individual potential and overall team success.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify compensating factors, ensuring a personalized approach that maximizes sales volume and customer satisfaction.
  • Take on P&L responsibility, conducting effective analysis and management to drive strong store performance and profitability.
  • Act as a hands-on, active manager involved in all aspects of the sales process, leading by example to inspire excellence in the team.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, sales team, and finance department to meet monthly targets for new vehicle sales.
  • Assist in managing inventory for the new car department, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely turnover.
  • Showcase a strong track record of superior results in a high-volume dealership, emphasizing excellence in the customer service industry.
  • Be willing and able to consistently work the sales desk, actively engaging with customers and managing turnovers to drive sales.
  • Lead from the front lines, overseeing and managing variable operations to ensure the overall success and cohesion of the sales team.
