About The Position

As part of this mission, HSSV is home to Mutual Rescue™ Studio, the organization's creative impact and storytelling arm. Mutual Rescue Studio produces original films, digital series, and social content that celebrate the human-animal bond and inspire lifesaving action. Operating at the intersection of filmmaking, digital media, and mission-driven innovation, the Studio partners with internal teams, external creatives, and shelters nationwide to bring emotionally resonant stories to life. The Mutual Rescue Studio Coordinator is the operational backbone of the studio supporting workflows, scheduling, review cycles, content tracking, production organization, communication rhythms, asset management, and social media publishing support. Through these responsibilities, the role upholds the studio's high standards of consistency, quality, and operational excellence across film, digital, and social storytelling pipelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in creative operations, social media management, film/digital production coordination, and/or production administration and post-production coordination.
  • Passionate about animal welfare and a desire to make a difference in the community; ability to work in an emotional field where a positive attitude, sense of humor, and empathy are essential.
  • Comfort moving between production, digital content, and administrative tasks.
  • Experience with social media management, platform analytics, scheduling tools, and publishing.
  • Passion for storytelling, rescue animals, and mission-driven creativity.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across departments with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with exceptional follow-through.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills (with diverse internal and external audiences), including excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the studio's key vendor partner to assist with deliverables, documentation, deadlines, and review cycles.
  • Manage routing of cuts, selects, scripts, approvals, and comments to ensure timely review and alignment across teams.
  • Support production paperwork, including releases and permissions, and coordinate schedules and logistics.
  • Prepare asset lists, deliverable sheets, and metadata for distribution.
  • Manage communication channels and digital infrastructure, including Slack, Asana, and WordPress workspaces, hard-drive enterprises, dailies, Adobe Creative routing, and overall file organization.
  • Develop process documentation and support system onboarding and tool setup.
  • Assist in managing AI-driven workflows and creative utilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the social and YouTube ecosystem.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content across various platforms (i.e., YouTube, IG, FB, TikTok).
  • Assist with uploads, thumbnails, titles, tags, and metadata preparation.
  • Manage asset handoffs between studio's key vendor partner, internal teams, and social publishing.
  • Prepare, with guidance, caption drafts, descriptions, and posting templates.
  • Track content calendars and ensure deadlines/content cadences are met.
  • Create analytics snapshots and basic reporting for weekly internal updates.
  • Monitor social channels for key comments, partner tags, and high-impact engagement with flagging to leadership.
  • Assist in preparing clip lists, content folders, social-ready assets, and vertical cuts for posting.
  • Provide direct operational and administrative support to studio leadership to ensure efficient planning, communication, and execution.
  • Liaise with key cross-functional HSSV teams such as: Marketing, Philanthropy, Community Programs, and IT.
  • Support cross-functional communication rhythms (i.e., weekly reports, project tracking, agenda keeping, creative huddles, vendor syncs, cross-functional governance, and project visibility).
  • Track progress of film and digital projects using studio workflows, documents, and systems.
  • Develop presentations, decks, internal memos, and studio communications.
  • Assist in grant-related or partner storytelling logistics for content development, story and talent sourcing, and production research.
  • Maintain shared folders, repositories, naming conventions, and assets/archival structure.
  • Manage calendars, meeting coordination, agendas, and notes for leadership.
  • Other job duties may be assigned as needed.
