About The Position

Mutual Funds and Registered Annuities Principal Trainee Join MWA Financial Services, Inc., a registered broker/dealer, investment adviser and wholly-owned subsidiary of Modern Woodmen of America, as a Mutual Funds and Registered Annuities Principal Trainee and become an essential part of our commitment to compliance and member service. Once licensed, you will review all Series 6 applications—including mutual funds and registered annuities transactions—ensuring each meets the best interest and suitability standards required by the SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies. You will provide final sign-off as Principal, deliver education and training to Registered Representatives on our products, and serve as a knowledgeable call center resource for both Registered Representatives and members, supporting their success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to pass FINRA Series SIE, 6 and 26 within 180 days of hire, and 51 within one year of hire. We provide time to study during work hours to help you achieve this goal. Work towards FLMI designation.
  • Clean securities background.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work across all U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with investment products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process Principal Series 6 applications (mutual fund and registered annuities) daily and follow up on all pending applications that require further paperwork and/or documentation updating computer systems and records as required.
  • Provide support for representatives and members including taking calls, mailing/faxing forms, researching questions/concerns.
  • Assist Registered Representatives, members, and clients with questions concerning suitability, regulatory processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating MWAFS Operations Section Procedures.

Benefits

  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $23.75. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time hybrid, hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Hybrid positions work at least three days in office and the remaining days each week working from hom Employees beginning to work in a new hybrid role will be asked to work on-site (five days a week) during the initial training period which may be up to one year. Hybrid work arrangements are subject to change at any time based on business needs and company policy.
