About The Position

The Mutual Fund Internal Wholesaler is responsible for the distribution of the Cavanal Hill mutual funds through financial advisors affiliated with, but not limited to, Broker/Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Companies, Banks or other assigned distribution channels. The Mutual Fund Internal Wholesaler is also responsible for the distribution of the Cavanal Hill Investment Management Separately Managed Account (SMA) strategies as assigned by the Director of Sales. The Mutual Fund Internal Wholesaler will work from a company provided office and will cover an assigned distribution channel where he or she will develop relationships with financial services professionals primarily through outbound calls, email and written correspondence. The Mutual Fund Internal Wholesaler may, at the discretion of the Director of Sales, act in a hybrid role, calling on financial services professionals affiliated with BOKF, NA or other Broker/Dealers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
  • Preference for applicants with a Masters Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or designations such as CFA, CFP, CMFC or CFS.
  • Demonstrated successful sales history.
  • Series 7 and 66 or Series 7, 63 and 65 required; Series 6, 63 and 65 also accepted.
  • Superior phone and in person marketing skills, sales skills and closing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of mutual funds, managed products and the associated industry.
  • Thorough understanding of applied economic principles and global capital market structures.
  • Comprehensive expertise in marketable securities and competent understanding of industry trading platforms and Broker/Dealer fee based accounts.
  • High level of proficiency in portfolio development, asset allocation and investment management.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Extraordinary enthusiasm, positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide both proactive and reactive professional service in a fast-paced sales environment utilizing creativity and organizational skills while multi-tasking.
  • Ability to receive and act upon coaching and instructional directions from managers while working in a team environment.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other industry related software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or surpass the yearly sales targets set by the Sales Director.
  • Skillfully navigate complex client relationships to drive sales and profitability through strategic processes.
  • Offer assistance to External Wholesalers in their designated area.
  • Boost sales with outbound calls to establish new client relationships.
  • Be the contact for financial professionals via incoming calls.
  • Document client interactions, sales activities, product campaigns, and business support in contact management systems.
  • Build and uphold enduring relationships with the staff and leadership of Cavanal Hill Investment Management and its parent company, BOKF, NA.
  • Handle the distribution of marketing materials via mail.
  • Travel for meetings with financial professionals and their clients, and represent Cavanal Hill at various company and industry events as directed by the Sales Director.
  • Follow all company policies and industry regulations, use only approved marketing materials with advisors and clients, and responsibly use the company budget for business activities.
