About The Position
The St. Joseph School & Loyola Sacred Heart Band Director & General Music Teacher works under the direct supervision of the St. Joseph School Principal. The SJS and LSH Band & General Music Teacher teaches students in the Kindergarten - Twelfth Grades. Collaboration with all faculty is required for integrated and cohesive lesson planning, preparation, and learning. The SJS & LSH Music Teacher teaches Band and General Music. A Catholic school teacher is responsible for the academic and spiritual formation of students and daily activities of his/her assigned instructional responsibilities. The Catholic school teacher works closely with the building faculty, staff, and parents to achieve a climate and educational program that fosters high expectations of the individual as well as Catholic growth and formation within the school community. The teaching assignments of the Catholic school teacher are designated by the Building Principal, the person to whom the Catholic school teacher reports.
