About The Position
Luminos Hospice is seeking a compassionate, part-time Music Therapist to provide meaningful, comfort-centered experiences for our hospice patients. This role focuses on one-on-one musical engagement, thoughtfully tailored to each patient’s preferences to bring peace, connection, and healing during their care journey. Role Highlights: Provide individualized music sessions for hospice patients Customize musical experiences to support comfort, emotional well-being, and connection Serve patients in both private homes and care facilities
Requirements
- Comfortable working with elderly patients and the sensitive nature of hospice care
- Willing to travel up to 1 hour from Blue Springs as needed
- Ability to visit patients in homes and facilities
- Own musical equipment required
- Musical focus on Classic Country and Gospel
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a musician
Nice To Haves
- Music Therapy certification
